Not encouraging women to do breast exams is only one way the more right wing discourage cancer prevention/detection. Discouraging people from eating vegetables (sorry, string beans is not nearly as high in cancer prevention as kale, collards, broccoli or brussel sprouts) is another.

I had no idea about that issue. As a member of a family where breast cancer has affected both sides (not unusual, I’m sure), that makes me so angry.
