Not Quite Farewell

mysteryphot.JPG

As you probably noticed – well I hope a few people at least noticed – this blog has been very quiet for the past few weeks. I have certainly been busy but I also feel a total lack of inspiration and ideas.

The school front is much quieter, which is a very good thing. I have not read many books worth writing about recently and my spiritual life is not worth sharing right now.

After much thinking and worrying, I have now decided that I will write whenever I feel like it rather than fret about I can possibly write about.

Still a few posts are already scheduled: at least two book reviews I promised to write (even though I have not received the books yet), a few recipes and JPiX in March.

Meanwhile I may or may not post on this blog but will still visit yours; I am subscribed to a lot of your blogs.

I suppose saying goodbye is a bit hard so I will end this post with a question. Can anyone guess what the photo above features?

  1. I enjoy your blog very much but I agree with Hannah that it should be fun and if you’re feeling pressure then take a rest. I am subscribed to your blog and will notice when you have written something, which will always be of interest. Have a healthy safe winter. Spring may bring new beginnings and new energy (I know it works for me).
My guess is maybe the ceiling of a theater?

  2. Okay, all I have is a ceiling. Can’t imagine it’s in a restaurant, but what do I know? πŸ™‚

Hey, blog when you feel like it! No law says you have to blog daily. Your blog, your rules. πŸ˜€

  3. I will look forward to reading what you have to say when you feel like saying it (and perhaps when you feel like sharing some of those yummy recipes of yours).

The blue and gold remind me of St. Chapelle, but I know that’s not what it is. Maybe a library? Or an old train station?

  4. Is the picture from your stay in Sweden?

I, too, agree with the other commenters. If the fun and enjoyment has gone out of blogging, it’s definitely time to take a well-deserved hiatus. And in the meantime, we’ll all be here waiting patiently for when you feel like writing again.

  5. I know exactly how you feel. I am rarely inspired to blog, but I have been writing other pieces that I won’t share with anyone. I think about coming back to blog on some sort of regular basis. I have some ideas, but every time I sit down on the computer I get caught up in other blogs and facebook. We’ll see. As Hannah said, if we’re not doing it for fun, why do it? I’ll keep checking in to see your posts. You’re a great blogger, and whenever you post, it’ll be fun to read.

Best wishes, and see you on FB.

  6. I understand what you’re feeling, am feeling it too. I haven’t even been reading my regular favourites. This took me by surprise this morning. Feels a little sad, like saying goodbye to a friend at the airport. I will look forward to those times that you do feel like posting something.
    All the best to you.

  7. I so empathize with you. My blog has lacked input for two months or more. I have been busy with added day care responsibilities for my two grandies, so at night, I am exhausted and don’t want to write, even though I have things to say. LOL

Try at least once a week (I should talk), it is a good place to start getting back in the groove.
