Regarding age of Josh Y., gosh, Josh is young.
Regarding Rabbi Fink’s article, I think Sephardim are more tolerant of less observant. And some Orthodox prefer to keep the walls up high, on purpose, no matter what Rabbi Fink or anyone else says.

In our smaller French communities everybody has to be included regardless of their observance if we want to have a minyan Besides most communities are Sephardi now and are used to such functioning.
