  1. Pink hydrangea – so that means you have more alkaline soil? I think because of the trees in our area our soil is more acidic. Which makes the tomatoes and azaleas happy.

    • I had to check this but it seems hydrangeas quite like acidic soils. Were you referring to the color of the flowers? We don’t have blue hydrangeas but white, pink and purple ones cohabit in our garden.

  2. These are lovely. And yes, I believe that the flower color is influenced by the acidity of the soil; rather like litmus paper, pink means alkaline, blue, acidic. I have no guesses about white or purple, however!
