I didn’t take many pictures for this year’s holiday. This one was taken on Friday evening, a few minutes before Shabbat candle lighting. You can see more Chanukah photos on Batya’s blog.

Good morning Ilana. Your Chanukah Menorah is lovely. I was looking at the order of the candle colors and wondering if there was significance to the colors and the order they appear in.
Annie, we start with one candle on the far right on the first night and then add one each night until the eighth evening. However the colors have no particular significance.
thanks, it’s gorgeous
I didn’t have a second to photograph ours. You must be so well-organized to be lit with time to click!
Thanks Batya. In fact I find it difficult to be organized when Shabbat candle lighting is so early but I had my phone at hand and that’s how I managed to take this picture.
I took so many, but I just gave Batya the one I already posted. This has a lovely warmth to it.
Thank you Leora. I liked the one you posted.
Lovely picture!
Are those your Shabbat candlesticks on either side of the chanukiyah?
No these are not my Shabbat candlesticks- I wish they were – because I can’t find the sort of candles that would be suitable for Shabbat (ie without too much wax dropping on them every week) to fit in (they’re really big), only ordinary ones.
How lovely, Ilana. I love the light…the mood, and reflections.
Thank you Lorri.
I love the candle colours and the tin foil made me smile – that’s exactly what I did!!!! Also serves as another point of reflection too 😉
From what I have seen, a lot of people use tin foil. And if you don’t, I suppose you wish you had!
