Juliet’s House

… and balcony, photographed in Verona last August.

Window Views: window, and now doors, from all over the world can be found on Mary’s blog.

  1. Lovely photos, and I love the balcony. I’m curious, though, what makes this the house of Juliet, a fictional character. (And Shakespeare’s play, by the way, makes no mention of a balcony; in fact, in the first Quarto, Juliet is described as appearing at a window. But perhaps the balcony you photographed was supposed to be outside someone else’s room.)

Sorry for the pedantic comment. Verona is as entitled to its tourist traps as any other city!
